Welcome to our Coven

Two friends with a love of sewing (and gin and wine, truth be told!) we decided to become the Witches in Stitches. What do we do? Well, sometimes we might be making clothes, sometimes we might be hooking a bit of crochet, quite often we will be making Quilts for Care Leavers.

This organisation has struck a chord with us, and we are happy to give it our full support. Well, it gives us a good excuse to buy more fabric after all! So, we may have launched ourselves headlong into this. We rummaged through the stash and raided the cupboards, and we enjoy conjuring up a few quilts. They are not perfect, but then neither are we, and they are most definitely made with love.

During lockdown, one of us, with undisguised encouragement from the other, has made a very expensive purchase of a long arm quilting machine. So here another journey begins….

Please feel free to join our coven, and enjoy the magic of stitching with us, through the trials of everyday life. We promise you a few photos, and a few laughs, and we hope you also give us some ideas.
